Soon AI Joins Tencent’s “Thousand Sails Initiative” to Accelerate SaaS Ecosystem Growth

Chengdu, China | October 29 — At the Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Summit, Tencent unveiled its “Thousand Sails Initiative”, a comprehensive SaaS ecosystem strategy aimed at addressing industry challenges and fostering collaboration among partners. Soon AI (formerly Jiatui), a leading intelligent CRM provider and inaugural member of Tencent’s SaaS Accelerator, has joined the initiative as a key alliance member, pledging to drive innovation in enterprise SaaS solutions.

Tencent’s “Thousand Sails Initiative”: Tackling SaaS Industry Challenges
Tencent Cloud Vice President Da Zhiqian highlighted the dual opportunities and hurdles facing SaaS providers: “While industrial digitization demands cost-efficient solutions, SaaS firms grapple with branding, customization, integration, and infrastructure stability.” The initiative addresses five core challenges:

  1. Branding & Market Penetration: Emerging SaaS players lack recognition and struggle to acquire clients.

  2. Customization Barriers: Complex enterprise demands require robust PaaS support, often beyond the reach of smaller vendors.

  3. Fragmented Ecosystems: Disconnected SaaS platforms force clients to manage multiple accounts and siloed data.

  4. Funding Gaps: Prolonged product development and market validation necessitate sustained investment.

  5. Infrastructure Reliability: Scalable, secure cloud infrastructure is critical for SaaS operations.

To overcome these, the “Thousand Sails Initiative” introduces a “One Cloud, One Platform, Three Pillars” framework:

  • One Cloud: Tencent Cloud’s infrastructure and technical backbone.

  • One Platform: Enterprise WeChat’s C2B connectivity.

  • Three Pillars: SaaS Accelerator, SaaS Technology Alliance, and SaaS Certification Program.

The initiative unites Tencent Cloud, Enterprise WeChat, and over 40 external SaaS partners, including Soon AI, to streamline integration, enhance interoperability, and accelerate market growth.
